On Tumblr I hid the cash blog and started a new one called Emmanuel Unlimited. That one will give me more room for various topics. So when I start my blog on a different platform it’ll be Emmanuel Unlimited.
It would’ve been a good idea to have done that in the first place.
I had poured over ‘how to’ blogs before I started this one. And it’s a prime example of how we can’t always follow the advice of others. I tried to follow advice on how be successful at blogging. One of those pieces of advice was stick to one topic for your niche. Another one was do your research on the most popular searches and pick a niche out of the most popular choices. Well, for me, I tried to do that, but the idea went bust.
The bottom line is, much of the advice I read, although it might have worked for them, and it might work for some other people, it has been completely impractical for me.
Have you ever tried taking someones advice and it was like trying to use a machine that is completely foreign to you?
I’m a variety person. If I go and read a blog or a book, if I stick to one topic all the time I get antsy or bored. Sometimes I don’t mind romance novels if they’re not too predictable. If it’s a susepense that has romance in it, it’s okay. Or if it is a romance, but the auther has an interesting choice of words, like having a character with a sense of humor, or if there’s an inspiring character full of faith and wisdom, I will get intrigued.
My point is, sticking to one topic goes against my grain.I did say in another post I’m not quitting, and I’m not. I’m going to be here for a time yet, I just don’t know how long. And I’m going to change as much on this blog as I can.
I was going to do my best to stick to this being a cash blog, but that is completely impractical for me. That was why I started other blogs, but then everything wreaked havoc. The other blogs got messed up. So for now while I’m still on this platform I’m doing the best I can to make the most of it. When I get my laptop I’ll be moving to another one. Let’s just say there’s a lot of things that are up in the air, like whether to change the name of this blog or not, whether to continue here still even after moving to another platform or not etc.
I’ll keep you all posted.
This is the logo I chose for Emmanuel Unlimited.
